July Favourites

All hype about this foundation is so justified. This hides pores like nothing I ever tried, not even primers did such a great job. Obvious it doesn't look completely smooth like the skin was photoshopped, but it still makes such a huge difference for me. I'm seriously impressed. It's a foundation with a matte finish and it sets quickly, so you don't have a lot of time to work with it, but it gives medium coverage and doesn't look flat on the skin. The downside of this foundation is that it can cling to dry patches, so it's not for dry skin and I'm a bit worried how this will work for me in colder months, but for now this gets an A+ from me. I haven't done a proper review yet because I like to test foundations a bit longer, plus I mostly wore in only hot summer weather (for which I declare this a perfect foundation to use), but it should be up sometime in August.

Since I've been self-tanning this month, I can finally wear the lightest shade of the Fit Me concealer. The fact that the lightest shade is so dark still makes me angry because this is an excellent concealer and I want to wear it more often. It's not as thick as Nars' Radiant Creamy Concealer or Collection's one, so combines a bit better with the L'Oreal foundation because it's lighter and more moisturising, therefore I'm not applying a matte on matte texture that can look cakey. I use it for both under the eyes as well as for spots and though the coverage is about medium, it can be built-up.

Even though this palette has been out for quite a while, I don't recall ever even checking it out on the Catrice stand, so now I feel ridiculous because this is such a lovely palette that definitely deserves attention. It contains a collection of neutral shades that are actually quite diverse, so you have golden tones, bronze ones and some deep taupes. I find that two shades are quite similar to more famous colours - one is close to YDK from Urban Decay and one isn't that far from Mac's Patina. Quality-wise it's not as amazing as the Absolute Matte one, but it's nonetheless a really good palette, especially for the price.

All I went to purchase was a cheap waterproof mascara that will serve as a back-up, but this is seriously good. I probably shouldn't include this here as it's being discontinued and I hear it's gone in most places, but maybe Essence has this fantastic waterproof formula in other mascaras. It's truly waterproof, I even went swimming with it and it survived so well. It also holds curl all day which makes it a complete winner for me. The brush is a bit rubbish, but you get used to it. I really hope the new waterproof mascara I <3 Extremes will have the same formula.

These are quite hyped up in the beauty community and I'm sad that they don't give me that amazing glow I've seen on other people, but this does give me at least a little bit of a healthy sheen on cheeks. I like to combine it with a creamy highlighter and this creates those lovely, fresh glowy cheeks. I have two shades from this line, Lavish Mauve is the other one and it's has a lot less shimmer than this one, but I also prefer Lovely Pink because of the shade. It's a nice classic warm pink that makes the cheeks look nicely flushed.

JEMMA KIDD Dewy Glow Radiance Creme
Ice Gold
Another discontinued item, I'm so sorry, but I just loved it so much this month and wore it every day. It's a champagne creamy highlighter that gives an amazing glow to the cheeks. I love the texture and colour of this, and I really want to find a decent dupe for this one day.

I have a few variations of this shade and actually this one is very close to Impassioned by Mac, but I wore Unapologetic a lot in July because it's in pencil form, therefore it's so handy and you can apply it precisely. It's a bright pink coral that is a colour for the brave ones, but I think it's such a gorgeous summer shade.
I also included this shade in my Summer Beauty post.

Last month it was Mac's Dangerous, but that is just a sample size, so I remembered that I have this lip cream that is pretty much exactly the same shade. It was a part of an old limited edition, but I really wish that Essence released this colour again because it's an excellent summer colour as it's a bright orange toned red that is close to Lady Danger. It might be because it's quite old, but it doesn't dry to a matte finish anymore, so I have to blot it with a tissue. I should probably find an alternative new matte shade.

Finally a drugstore brand launched an affordable and excellent self-tanning product for the face. This might be my all-time favourite such product as I find no fault in it. It's like a regular toner that you apply with a cotton pad, it's almost immediately dry to the touch, it's not sticky and I love that its effect is gradual because that means you easily get a very even tan (before and after is in my latest New In post).
I have heard though from a few people that this burns on their skin. My skin isn't sensitive at all and I find this toner to be very gentle, but if your skin is sensitive, this might not work for you. I also hear that it's gone from most places, however, I still saw some bottles in my local DM, so maybe try checking more shops.

Who though that hair chalks are so fun. I always thought that only blondes can use them, so as a dark brunette I had little hope colour would show on my hair until I got this one. It's a LE, so I'm again teasing you, I'm sorry, but you might still find one somewhere (danes sem videla obe barvi v Tuš drogeriji Kranj). I showed in my New In post as well as on Instagram how well this shows on my hair and I just love it. I also love the method of application, so I really hope that Essence does a whole line of these in such a packaging because those that are just in a pan are so hard to apply (I bought two, a red and a blue since they were just a euro).

Granted I mostly wore Escada fragrances in this hot July, but even before it cooled down I had a hankering for this fragrance. Fame has one of the best honey notes I've ever smelled and I just love the fragrance as a whole. It's is a lovely blend of apricot, honey and flower notes, while the depth is created by the smokiness of the incense note.

Have a great day!

BOURJOIS Healthy Mix Serum Foundation
I think I finally tanned a little, though my neck is still ghostly pale, but I nonetheless started using this foundation on its own, without mixing it with a lighter foundation. I absolutely love it, I have for all these years, no matter the season because it just blends into the skin so well that is looks almost invisible, but still gives me a light-medium coverage. I know some people dislike the dewy finish it leaves, but I love it because it makes the skin look so fresh and I also like how fast it sets, therefore there is none of that "foundation stickiness" that I dislike.

About a week ago my skin started to act up and I reached for full coverage concealers a lot more than usual. Nars' Chantilly is very light, so I used mostly Collection's one as they are so similar anyway. This covers so well and it also layers good enough if the spot you're covering is particularly stubborn. I recently included this in my post about favourite concealers.

I've never tried a softer lipstick in my life, but it's also pigmented enough that you can easily achieve full coverage, so it's far from a glorified tinted lip balm like most such products. Add in the fact that it's very moisturising and you get possibly the most comfortable lip product ever (Clarins' Lip Perfector and Catrice's Lip Smoother would be its best rivals). On me Rose is a lovely, neutral pink shade that is a shade or two darker than my natural lip colour, so it's a great every day colour. It think my favourite part about this lipstick is the scent - it smells like Planica ice cream, so it's absolutely yummy. I would however stick to buying only the light shades in this formula as I fear things could get very smudgy due the fact it's so soft.

I love this shade so much, even though I got a very mixed response on it, but this is my perfect 90's inspired colour. It looks very warm brown on most people I've seen, but on me it's more cool toned and mauve-y, yet not at all draining like Essence's Satin Mauve lip liner. I just love this on my lips - it makes them look more defined and perfected, plus I like the formula of these as well.

There is something summer that makes me crave a nice punchy warm orange red on my lips. The obvious choice would be Lady Danger, but I prefer Dangerous as it's a tiny bit less orange, which appeals to me more. It's a nice creamy formula even though it's matte, but if you have dry lips, it could feel drying after a couple of hours as it's a retro matte finish. I'm still living on my The Body Needs samples, which is a bit pathetic, but Mac lipsticks cost twice as much in Europe than in USA, not to mention they're not even sold in Slovenia (thanks for that Mac. I'm sure your logic regarding this is flawless). I did hear that Milani's Matte Passion is a good enough dupe for Lady Danger, so I'm lemming it. I'm wearing Dangerous in this Instagram photo.

This is such a glamorous colour on the nails and it doesn't look even remotely as bland as in the bottle. It's densely packed champagne gold shimmer that is opaque with two coats. I'm not terribly happy with the fact that it can look uneven on some nails and it's hard to fix that, though it's not that noticeable due to the textured finish. Also the removal process is terribly tedious, but I survived it three times already and it's all worth it for the colour.

The colour of this is so beautiful. It's a proper fuchsia shade and it has this tiny violet-blue frost in it that isn't obvious, but it gives the nail colour a cool toned blue-ish hue. This is the most perfect one coater I found, so I really like the formula.

I completely forgot about this nail polish - shame on me! It's bloody gorgeous, I seriously adore the colour of this. It's the colour of pink flamingos in the Camargue at the south of France. I've seen them in person  and the ends of their feathers looks just like this colour. This is like a pinker Cute as a Button, so it's a mix of hot pink and coral, which ends up looking so pretty. My bottle is ancient hence the formula isn't at its best, but I remember being very fond of Barry M nail polishes.

I just love the scent of this and I keep opening the bottle to sniff it. It's so refreshing, like a nice glass of tropical fizzy soda. Everyone says it smells like Radenska Ace Tropic, but I wouldn't know for sure. It's just a basic shower gel, but the scent is divine,

a.k.a. Hautklar Fruit Energy Peeling-Gel
I used this occasionally as a morning cleanser sporadically all year because I discovered that it's drying my skin if I use it too often, but this month I have been using it daily at night and it has been working very well for me. It's very liberating to use such a non-fuss cleanser for a change. As much as I love cleansing balms and oils, they are a lot more time consuming than gels and mousses. This one is a cleansing gel with very gentle scrub particles that cleans well enough (it won't remove eye makeup) and smells really refreshing. My skin must have changed in these past months as I've noticed zero dryness after using this very regularly and I've really been enjoying using this.
I have heard though that this disappeared from our drugstores. I've seen a new version with a pump, but I haven't tried it yet. They have the scrub on Boots International.

a.k.a. Hoch Karäter Volumen + Glaz Soufflé
It must be at least ten years since I last used a hair wax and I used to only use it to tame frizz. It never occurred to me that such a product would be nice for defining curls and providing hold as well. This is actually called a soufflé and it does resemble it due to the very airy texture, but it is essentially a light hair wax. It defines the curls nicely and gives some extra hold, but it doesn't feel too greasy on my hair (I'm not sure I'd use this on thin hair, though). It proved itself to be just as effective in terms of hold as a hair spray.

I also reached a thousand subscribers on my Instagram account a few days ago and I wanted to thank you here as well. I became really fond of Instagram, despite being reluctant to sign up less than a year ago, but I've really been enjoying funnelling my creativity there as well. Thank you to all that are subscribed to my account and I hope you'll like my future posts there.

Have a great day!

May Favourites

I did not expect this to be so good. I mean it looks like a toy for five-year-olds, but I seriously love this, especially since I wasted almost 30 € this year for crappy eyeliners available in Slovene drugstores (they really spoil us with a huge selection of good makeup here *sarcasm off*). It's not that far from that Kardashian Beauty one that I always talk about, particularly when it comes to the shape of the applicator, though admittedly the formula isn't quite as good, but it is still an excellent liner. It applies easily and is super precise, plus the panda design is so cute.

There was a time when seeing me without this lipstick on my lips was considered strange because it used to be a part of my daily routine for about two years or so. I still adore it, but I switch my lip colour more often now (she says after wearing Nude-ist almost daily for the third month in a row), however, I got into a very peachy mood this month and I went back to my good old staple look: big eyelashes with peachy lips and cheeks (using Coralista, what else). Sugar Babe is one of those unsung heroes that no one seems to know about, though granted the texture is not the best, but this is such a gorgeous peachy-pink lip colour on pale skin tones, which doesn't looks strangely orange at all and if you're pale, then you know such shades are a rarity.
I wore it in this recent Instagram picture.

There is little I enjoy more than a proper peach scent and this is quite possibly my favourite fragrance ever or at least it's somewhere at the top as I resent it's poor staying power, but it's a fruity body mist, so I knew what I was getting. The name says it all, it smells like vineyard peaches without any odd artificial or plastic notes. If you love peach scents and you can still find this somewhere, just get it.

BELLES SAISONS Eau de Cologne Lavande
I always wanted a proper lavender fragrance and even toyed with the idea about getting the L'Occitane version at one point, then I actually got a lavender water in Croatia which smelled foul like vinegar, so imagine my surprise when I found this 250 ml bottle for 1.5 € in E. Leclerc. I've pretty much been spraying this everywhere: on me, my clothes, bedding - just everywhere. Since it's an eau de cologne I expected a very faint scent that would dissipate quickly, but though it is light, I can smell it through the day, probably because I'm spraying this like it's no tomorrow, though in my defence the bottle is huge. Oh, and I had to put on a pump because it originally doesn't have it.

The era of pastels hasn't concluded yet, but I did change direction to the more blue side instead of mint green. I used to have this pale blue T-shirt that made my eyes look the same colour, so I just wanted some pale blue again in my life and I absolutely feel in love with the colour of this nail polish. It's just the right kind of pale blue, a blue with a white base, so it ends up looking almost a bit grey. The formula isn't the typical pastel one and it needs three coats for full opacity, but it's still ok.

Never underestimate the power of a good salon brand treatment. I've tried tons of cheap drugstore masks and conditioners and they don't come close to this Joico one. I always rave about that Kérastase mask - well this is the second treatment I treasure just as much and while Kérastase one does the whole deal, this is the product that excels primarily in nourishment. When my hair is super dry, coarse and drab, this works like magic and restores it. I had a bad hair moment after using just drugstore treatments for months and this was like salvation for my hair, so my hair finally felt normal.

In my collection of hair products, this is one of those that I keep for special occasions and hair emergencies because it's not cheap, but man is it amazing, Whenever I use this, my hair is so sleek, I don't even have to use a round brush to achieve smooth hair and my hair is usually a mess without a round brush. This is amazing for taming frizz, honestly nothing else I've tried works as well as this and it's also a very good hydrating leave-in conditioner.

First there was the Angelica cream and now this one that blew me away. Both are so similar in terms of texture, but Pivoine Sublime comes in the prettiest packaging known to mankind as well as it has the most amazing floral scent ever. I love this moisturiser especially for under foundation as it sinks in fast and leaves behind a nice, velvety smooth finish. I'm really enjoying this moisturiser.

By the way, I also wanted to tell you that I have found a very good, more affordable similar moisturiser. Katja gave me a sample of Yves Rocher Hydra Végétal 24h Intense Hydrating Gel Cream and I applied them on each side on my face. YR's takes a little longer to sink in and doesn't feel quite as high quality, but the finish is very similar, which makes it another fantastic moisturiser to use under foundation.

When you open the lid, the scent might make you wonder if someone accidentally put desert inside, as it truly is a dead on ringer for Monte, so a mix of hazelnut and chocolate. I usually don't notice my skin being dry, but currently my shins seem to be especially problematic, and this body butter is a great fixer for super dry, patchy skin. It's a very thick and heavy body butter that intensely moisturises the skin, but it's better if you apply it before going to bed as it takes some time to sink in.

Another product I'm currently using for my dry skin. Oils give such a pretty glow to the skin and this one also has very fine gold shimmer in it, so it's extra glowy, which I imagine looks great it you have a tan. It has quite a unique texture, almost like it's a gel-oil hybrid, so it's not as runny and thin as most oils. This version has a warm, sweet scent that is more suitable for winter months, but it's not overly heavy.

Have a great day!

April Favourites

I've been so into Catrice blushes that I unwittingly neglected what was once pretty much the only blush I wore for years. But spring came along and I dusted off this beauty. Coralista is a pretty unique coral. It's definitely not like Nars' Orgasm that's been duped to death. It's a proper coral shade meaning it has a lot more of the peach-orange tone to it than most such blushes and it also has very finely milled gold shimmer, so it looks like you put a very good highlighter over it, one that looks like glow and not random shimmer. It's the type of colour that makes you look very fresh and perks up the skin. This is also one of rare blushes that manages to cling on to my cheeks longer than most and it smells gorgeously tropical.

There is little I love more than a powerful, bright pink-red colour on my lips and this is spot on. It's similar to Catrice's MATTraction lipstick, only pinker, so if you ever looked for a lip liner that would work with it (or a similar shade), this is it. The formula reminds me of a mix between Essence and Bourjois pencils, meaning it combines good qualities of both and did I mention it only costs 2.5 €?

How I wish there was a lipstick version of this shade because all the sharpening due to using it so much is so tedious. This is the prettiest natural peachy-light pink shade that just looks so gorgeous on the lips. It's a much drier pencil than Essence's, but my lips don't tend to get dry much, so it works for me and the slightly harder texture also means that you can be precise with this.

What can I say, I cannot resist mint green shades on my nails. Last month it was Mint Candy Apple and this time it's its greener, more muted cousin. The formula of this one is so much better than Essie's (MCA is a black sheep among their generally excellent formulas). It's another pastel nail polish formula, but it's so much smoother and needs just two coats for a nice, even finish. If Kiko's pastels are so good, then their reds and pinks must be spectacular.

I'm mentioning this yet again, but every time I wear it, I fall in love with it again. It's such a pretty nude shade with a cool undertone and the formula is just brilliant. It's one of those new "imitating gel manicure" formulas, which is so smooth and easy to apply, so there are no streaks whatsoever even though it's an opaque, cream finish nude and it also has a great glossy finish.

I just wanted some glitter in my life and this is a sparkle overload. Aurora is a light pink-rose gold glitter and I love the effect on the nails as it looks so glamorous and pretty, almost like crushed diamonds on the nails. I'm wearing this on my toes at the moment, which considering its lasting power due to the shimmer being firmly stuck on the nails should last until Christmas, also because I dread removing it, but no matter, it's so pretty to look at anyway

It's been one warm April for a change and I swiftly pulled out my trusted Sun Dance's sunscreen. This is the best sunscreen I've ever tried because it's super light, not at all sticky or heavy and due to the sheer tint, there is no white cast. It's a bit dark for me at the moment, but that only compels me to apply it all over the face, ears and neck. I saw they placed these back on the shelves in DM.

Since this is on its last legs it deserves one last well deserved shout out before the empties. Though I plan to repurchase it, I probably won't for some time as I have tons of heat protections to go through. This is a very basic heat protection serum and it's because of the texture that I love it. Since it's a silicone based serum, it can be used both on damp and dry hair, meaning it won't make the hair damp before curling or straightening, which is handy if you're in a hurry as you don't have to wait for the hair to dry. It also has this gorgeous shimmer, which actually makes the hair look more healthy due to the very natural looking shine. I love this because it pretty much works for any type of hair, I've used it on very thin hair once and it didn't weight it down at all and due to the silicone texture, it also makes the hair  sleeker and tamer.

L'OREAL Elseve Extraordinaire Oil Nourishing Shampoo
I haven't talked about this yet even though I've had it for almost a month, but since I can't find Elvital Glatt-Intense Pflege-Shampoo  (a.k.a. Elvive Smooth Intense Anti-Frizz Shampoo) anywhere, I decided to try this and see if it's as good. In short: it is. They feel very similar, so they both remind me of a cheaper Oleo-Relax. It has a similar effect in terms that it feels like some conditioner was added in it and the hair feels a bit silky when you're rinsing it off. It doesn't leave my hair so squeaky clean that's it's dried out and I greatly appreciate that because such shampoos are rare. In combination with the John Frieda conditioner, it made my hair look and feel better that's been in months (I've been using up my "crappy" stuff). The frizz was significantly reduced, the hair felt a bit silky and looked healthy, so I was very pleased with the results. It smells a bit like cinnamon, but I actually prefer the scent of the Smooth Intense version.

As I've said this conditioner made my hair look and feel so nice in combination with L'Oreal's shampoo and it made me again appreciate this goodness that has been in my stash constantly for years. It feels quite light, yet it is moisturising enough for my dry hair and it leaves the hair feeling silky when I rinse it off, but there are two things that it excels at: shine and scent. The scent is divine, like a mix of coconut and caramel, but not sweet rather a bit more sophisticated. I have the 500 ml size with a pump, which is so much more convenient than the tubes.

Have a great day!

March Favourites

This is a complete winner of the month for me. I took a chance and I tried a shade I never imagined on me before and it turned out way better than I could have ever expected. Nude-ist is far from a proper nude shade on me, but it's one of those fantastic natural shades that give me a bit of colour and define the lips. It's a beautiful muted rose shade on me and features that awesome matte formula Bourjois does so well. Love this.

If you're an avid reader of beauty blogs then I'm sure that the Kiko Long Lasting Sticks hype didn't escape you and I can tell you it's fully justified. The taupe shade I own is incredibly creamy, doesn't tug on the lids at all and blends with ease. The staying power is really impressive as well, since on my normal lids it can easily get through the day with minimal creasing, which only occurs much later in the day. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the chunky shimmer, but I'll live with it.

Once I started using Golden Taupe on a daily basis, it occurred to me that the tone of it is very close to how Satin Taupe looks on my eyes. It turns out these work great in conjunction with each other as Satin Taupe is just a bit deeper shade on my lids, but without the shimmer.

This is that one fantastic transition shade that can easily be worn from autumn though winter into spring because it's such a nice mix of styles. It's a mix of autumn-winter murky taupe and spring pastel lilac shade, so it looks very modern on the nails. Plus this formula has a very shiny finish.

It's officially spring and it's time to dust off the pastels. Mint Candy Apple is the quintessential pastel mint green shade and you just can't really have a spring without it. Granted the formula is horrendous and it reminds me how far pastels have come in the recent years, but it's worth the extra work. There are many, many (better performing) dupes for this shade, but Mint Candy Apple just has that cult status.

As far as oil cleansers go, this is definitely my favourite. It's the only one so far that didn't cause me problems after a longer use, in fact, it keeps my skin in a very decent condition plus it removes every scrape of makeup even my heavy-duty waterproof mascara. I've switched back to Emma Hardie's cleansing balm for a while because I need to use up my opened cleansers and my skin almost immediately didn't look as good. I even got a few dry patches, so I went back to using this one and it helped. I do mind that it doesn't feel as luxurious as balms and I hate how foggy my vision is after using it, but because it works for my skin, it's currently my favourite cleanser out the ones I have. Balance Me Cleansing Balm is still my absolute favourite, with Good Things Manuka Honey being my second, but this is firmly planted on third place and removes makeup the best out of three. The price is a bit extreme though, but I heard they have some promotion on cleansers in L'Occitane at the moment, at least here.

I found a great hydrating mask that helps me when my skin is feeling super thirsty and it was just there in my local DM. I've said before that this is a similar product to Origins Drink Up Intensive mask, but I like it even more because this one has hyaluronic acid in it. My skin had a bit of a patchy moment on my cheeks, but this mask quickly fixed that. I should really explore Balea's skin care more (any recs?).

Yes, I'm going to rave about this mascara once more. It's when I'm testing other mascaras that I realise how bloody fantastic this one is. At the end of the day (which is currently at 2 A.M.), my foundation looks worn-off, the blush is long gone as is the eyeshadow, but my lashes look like I just applied mascara five minutes ago. They are still perfectly curled, there is no smudging and all the mascara is still there. That's what I call an HG mascara.

LA RIVE Moon
I still can't believe I only paid 4€ for this fabulous scent. It's one of those clean, but classy scents that work no matter the occasion or season. It's basically a cheap knock-off of Hugo Boss Nuit Pour Femme and works just as well. It starts with a nice peachy burst, but it quickly settles into a nice expensive fabric softener scent. And I also love the bottle of this as it's not at all cheap looking.

As with mascaras, it's only when I'm using something else that I realize how good the old favourite is. I've had the same thing happen to me with Nectar Thermique. This works for my hair so well not just as heat protection, but also as a leave-in product/conditioner and it never fails me when my hair needs that extra boots of moisture. This is one of the best products for really dry hair.

Have a great day!

February Favourites

I just wrote about this shade in my latest review, where I also said that it has been on my lips pretty much the entire month, partly because I find it a great lip balm alternative, so it's no surprise it is among my favourites. On my lips it's a natural-pinky my-lip-but-better-shade with a nice glossy finish that makes the lips look more plump. The comfortable, creamy formula and the divine peachy scent just make these glosses a winner in my book.

I think this is one of the best eyeshadows for those days when you just can't be bothered with lots of blending or you're pressed for time. It is one of the best natural shades that isn't too smoky, but still has an impact, so it's great for so many occasions. It can be worn on its own, but I mostly like to use it as a base to give the eyeshadow on the top a warm, bronzy hue, more intensity and extra staying power. I really appreciate how easy and quick it is to apply and I always use fingers both for application and blending.

This is another one of those easy-to-wear-and-apply shades like On and on Bronze, but it's cool toned and in the same colour family as Satin Taupe. I love this range of eyeshadows, which have an unique texture that is hybrid between a cream eyeshadow and a pressed pigment, so they are very pigmented and have an almost metallic finish. I like to wear this shade over On and on Bronze for a quick and simple look. I'm wearing this combo here.

This was on my wishlist for several years and now that I finally have it, it's no surprise it's the foundation I wore most this month. The shade is the main reason for this foundation being on my face so often, since Siberia matches my super pale skin very well at the moment, though admittedly it's very yellow, but what's more important is how light it is. I love how like Bourjois' foundations it doesn't settle into my pores and it blends so well, but it offers a far greater level of coverage and I'm relishing that. It's not an "invisible" skin-like foundation that I love and wear on most days, but it still looks really nice on the skin (it is a high end foundation, after all), like the skin is perfected and very even toned due to the coverage. The finish reminds me of Catrice's Nude Illusion in a sense that it gives that luminous matte finish.

I so wish Maybelline had a another lighter shade of these Eraser concealers, but I still use it nonetheless as it blends in decently with my skin tone. I love this concealer, I have for so many years, and I know it's one of those formulas that a lot of people find unimpressive primarily because the coverage is about medium, but I find it covers well enough for me (I like my base looking natural and fresh). I adore the thin and light formula of this because it blends in so seamlessly, making it look as if you're not even wearing anything and I actually like the sponge application because it's so practical.

Sometimes it's just time for a nice classic red and this Essie's shade is the best one I have. I always get compliments when I wear this, since for some reason people really like me with red nails, actually a lot more than with any other colour. The formula is brilliant, as is the brush and also the staying power.

There is just something about the scent of this that just appeals to me so much. I've always been a fan of the classic Dove "clean" scent, but this a version of it that is for those who like things a bit more sweet, but in a more sophisticated way. It doesn't smell anything like described - coconut milk or jasmine petals, so it's hard to describe the scent in any other way than it's clean, but comfortingly and even a bit elegantly sweet. The formula is, of course, fantastic, there is a reason this line of shower gels is so beloved in my household and it's great for those with dry skin.

This was a month of Pink Sugar for me and there was scarcely a day that I hadn't sprayed this at least once. I think it's one of those love it or hate it fragrances because it's so intense and űber sugary. The initial candy floss/pure sugar burst is very strong, almost burning the nostrils with its potentness, but it's the soft vanilla that keeps it from being too overboard sweet to me. Some might see it as the ultimate girly fragrance (the type that conjures associations of unicorns and rainbows), but I think it's a bit more grown up than Fantasy as there is very little to none of fruitiness in it. I love it with each day more, even though just a year ago I found it impossibly boring - oh, how times change.

eBay Bargain Hair Accessories
If you read my birthday wishlist post, you may recall that I talked about several pieces of hair accessories I planned on ordering from various eBay sellers. Well they arrived and though it wasn't smooth sailing (as usual to be honest), I am very happy with all of the pieces. I didn't include cat ears headband with crystals in that post, but it's my favourite thing I got. It arrived broken, but I fixed and a few crystals fell out, which I again fixed (I'm really selling it here, eh?), however, it just looks so pretty and cool when worn. The other items I got were the gold leaves headband, gold leaves hair pins and the cutest bee hair pins (there were supposed to be two, but as I said there were complications with packages. Sadly my wallet phone case got lost, but I managed to get a refund). All were of far better quality than I expected for the price and so darn cute.

I just want to quickly thank you for your overwhelming response to my Snow White look. It's fast become one of the most read new posts, so thank you for you heart warming comments - they really meant a lot to me.

Have a great day!
