CATRICE Absolute Nude Eyeshadow Palette
010 All Nude
This was the first such palette by Catrice and it has been out for quite a while, however, I was never really interested in it, until I saw that there is going to be a new chocolate version, which made me think of this one and the Rose one, so I just wanted to give them a try.  Nude version contains a collection of neutral eyeshadows, ranging from light to dark in different hues and all are shimmery, but I love especially the medium shades, as they are great one-wash colours. I'm very pleased with this palette and I've really been enjoying wearing it since I got it; I've been wearing it more than the Rose version, because it suits my colouring better. I'll have swatches of both palettes in a proper review.

CATRICE Absolute Rose Eyeshadow Palette
010 Frankie Rose to Hollywood
A palette that clearly drew inspiration from the massively popular UD Naked 3 palette, so it has a collection of six rosy, taupe and purple shades.  I'm a huge fan of the Absolute Matt version, which inspired in me a lot of trust into these palettes by Catrice, but the day I bought it, someone told me that this is a terrible palette quality-wise, so I was concerned before I actually tried it that I made a huge miss buy. Well, it's a great palette. In respect to quality I really like it, especially that matte taupe shade is fantastic. However, two pairs of eyeshadows look almost identical on the lids, so it's not the most diverse palette in the world. But otherwise, I'm happy I got this.

L'OREAL Infallible 24H Matte Foundation
10 Porcelain
There is a huge hype surrounding this foundation and I had my doubts whether it's really as amazing as everyone is claiming to be. Well, it is. I adore this foundation. This looks absolutely flawless over pores. I've never tried anything like it, not even a primer. In the past year almost every foundation started to emphasize my pores for some reason, but this kind of just camouflages them. It's so amazing to see how the pores look so diminished with this foundation, I'm a huge fan. Otherwise it's a medium coverage foundation with a matte finish, so it is an obvious foundation, but I don't mean that in a bad way, just that the matte finish and coverage makes it apparent you're wearing makeup. This will look weird over patches, just to warn you. I got the lightest shade 10 Porcelain which is not exactly porcelain-like, but it's similar to Healthy Mix Serum's 51 only it has a pink undertone. There will be a proper review of this.

ESSENCE Lash Mania False Lash Mascara Waterproof
I love my Lancome Hypnose mascara, but it's very expensive, so I wear it only when I want to be a bit more made up, while the rest of the time I wear either Essence Princess Lash, which is unfortunately not waterproof but I love the effect, or Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde waterproof, which I'm not terribly fond of because it's very average. I decided to get a new cheap waterproof mascara, though I'd really love to get my hands on Maybelline's Lash Sensational in waterproof, but for now Essence's will suffice. I found this one on their website, checked online for reviews (which were all in German) and they reassured me it's worth a try. I've quickly became a fan of the formula. The brush is plastic and huge, so it's clumsy and it deposits tons of product with one coat, just like Princess Lash and I <3 Extremes. This means that definition isn't its forte from the start, but it gets better and better as the formula thickness over time. The amount of volume it gives is huge, it hold curls amazingly well for such a cheap mascara and it's very difficult to remove. I'll post a proper review very soon, as this is in the process of being discontinued.

ESSENCE Lash & Brow Gel Mascara
This is very popular and highly rated on Makeup Alley, however, I won't be using it for its original purpose (I don't care about brows at all). You might remember that I spoke about John Frieda Full Repair Touch-Up Flyaway Tamer, which has been on my wishlist for ages, but it's out of stock on Boots International for a really long time, and while Ojon's Tamer Wand is only a bit more expensive, I am very reluctant to shell out 16 € for such a product plus the extortion that they call shipping (and the pound to euro rate has been abysmal in the past six months. Thank you economy!). So I had a brain wave to try this for that purpose. It's a gel with hold, which is quite possibly very similar to the JF or Ojon's formula. I can report that it works well enough, but it's not as good as the real deal. It also still leaves the hair soft and none of the gel residue is apparent. It's good for now, but I still want the John Frieda or at least the Ojon one.

ESSENCE Lipliner
12 Wish Me a Rose
You know how I often say that I don't like these? Well I have seven of them already. I have no words for myself *queue the meme "I'm not even mad that's amazing"*. Wish me a Rose was an Andrea's enabled purchase because she swatched Mac's Please me and Wish me a Rose side by side, and they are indeed very, very similar. Even I'd call them a dupe and I'm very strict with that word. It's a light-medium neutral pink that I think would suit so many people, either as a nice neutral shade like on me or a pinky nude on people with medium skin tones.

BOURJOIS La Laque
7 Lycheers
Bourjois released their version of gel inspired formula and I think everyone saw that happening from a mile away. Their selection of shades is pretty basic and cute, but Lycheers grabbed my attention because I have nothing similar and I find it quite unique. When I came home I noticed how similar it is to my beloved Rouge Edition Velvet in 07 Nude-ist - no wonder I liked it straight away. It's a retro rose shade - a dirty medium pink that will fit perfectly into autumn.

ESSENCE Studio Nails 4 in 1 Profi File
I've been buying these for years. They are cheap and they do the job. There are four different textures ranging from a very harsh surface to a buffing smooth one.
Müller, 1.59 €

Salma had it for a reasonable price with a discount, so I just got a backup and even so, my bottle is running very low anyway. I love this hair oil and I haven't been without a bottle of it for years. I find it one of the best on the market for dry hair as it doesn't just behave like a regular smoothing serum, but it also adds a bit of extra nourishment that my hair desperately needs. I'm also still in love with the gorgeous oriental scent it has.
I've reviewed a lot of more expensive hair oils a while ago in my Hair Oil Series if you're interested.

 BALEA Luxury Verwőhndusche
Red Love
Indulging Shower Gel
I was so excited about this range ever since I saw it on Facebook, mainly because it said it smells like peach and coconut. I already had the bath salt, which was lovely (it turned the water into an intense red-pink shade. I'll post pictures one day) and I was delighted when I saw that the shower gel arrived on our shelves as well. It's a very thick shower gel that is deep red with shimmer, so it looks very glamorous. It's very different from their regular shower gels and it's closer to Dove's formula, though it's even thicker and doesn't foam as well as those. The scent is the same as of bath salt, so peachy, but with a deeper, more sexy/sultry note, which actually makes it better suited for colder months than summer.

SUN DANCE Transparentes Sonnenspray 50
Transparent Sunscreen SPF 50
Last year I got the transparent sunscreen in a can, which ended up being a huge oily, schnapps-reeking disaster that lasted three days in total for four people. This year I got one in a classic spray pump, but again a transparent one as the regular sunscreens are just too greasy, which puts me off applying them all together. This one has tons of alcohol in it, but I don't care as I'm only planning to use it for those few days on the beach, also because at least I'll use it because it's light enough on the skin, though still a bit oily, and finally because the Garnier transparent one, which is without alcohol is over 10 € and is just too much (I mean seriously?!). It smells like classic sunscreen and I don't smell alcohol in it, but others do. The spray pump is very hard to press, which is very annoying

SUN DANCE Selbst Bräunungs Tonik
Self-tanning Toner

This immediately caught my attention on their website, I mean a self-tanning toner in the drugstore is not something you see often. It is like a regular toner, so not like Clarins' one which feels like a lotion, instead this is like an actual water-like toner that would work even for greasy skin. It sinks in really fast, leaves the skin dry to the touch and doesn't feels sticky, so thumbs up for that. It has a warm vanilla scent that is ok as well. It says to exfoliate the skin first, which I do before the first application as I always do before tanning, then simply apply the toner with a cotton pad all over the face including ears and neck for an even effect. It says the colour should develop in 2-6 hours, but that is very optimistic. On my super pale skin it takes four days for me to I get a nice amount of colour and that's a good thing, because gradual tanning provides a lot more natural results and decreases the chance of streaks. It doesn't smell much of self-tanner, though the more days in a row you use it, the more you might notice it. I heard though that some people with sensitive skin find this product a bit irritating, but it works completely fine on my skin.

Here is a side by side of me before tanning and after four days. The lipstick is Max Factor's Redefined Rose.

NIVEA Pearl & Beauty Anti-Perspirant
My old faithful. My last bottle was sent to me by Nivea when they saw I couldn't find it in Interspar (such a kind gesture), but now I got mine in DM. I love this deodorant because it actually works for a spray deodorant as it has powder particles in it, but it's not super white, though I still need to be careful with black clothes. It also smells fantastic, soft and so lady-like.

OMBIA COSMETICS Express Nagellackentferner
Express nail polish remover
This reminds me a lot of the Ebeline version, meaning it's a basic nail polish remover in a pot, except that the foam inside hasn't got a round hole, but it's just cut in a form of a cross. It removes nail polish well enough, though not as easily as for example the Bourjois' one and it doesn't leave the fingers greasy, however, just like Ebeline's one, this means that it can dry out your nails and skin. The foam is harsher and feels of a lesser quality than both Ebeline's and Bourjois'. It has a sweet scent, possibly of almonds. I like it for the price, but it's nothing special.

ESSENCE Arriba! TE Hair Chalk
02 Macarena Mint
I dreamt of having this ever since Ana from Beautysaur showed how well this works on her dark hair. It's a very silly thing to purchase, but you know it's also very fun. There were two versions, a pink and a green/teal one, and I grabbed the last one on the stand. This has an amazing colour payoff, especially if you use it on slightly damp hair or like I did it, over a sticky hair spray. With the sticky hair spray base, it lasted all day without fading and it didn't rub off on anything. I'm pleasantly surprised by this and I kind of a want my whole head in this colour. This was a LE, so it's quite possibly gone from most places, but Essence has four colours of hair chalk in their permanent line, though they are in the process of being discontinued. They have a colour just like it, so if you want it, you need to hurry.

ESSENCE #secret party TE Drink Markers
01 Don't Drink and Dive
This is another silly purchase, but we always end up fighting whose glass was which, so this was a purchase to end all glass related disputes. I'll also put one in my bag as it should certainly come in handy. I don't know where you can get anything similar other than on eBay (I want the moustache ones)

ESSENCE Nauti Girl Nail Stickers
01 Hey Sailor
I really liked the Nauty Girl collection. You might have noticed that I largely ignore TE's and LE's (I just genuinely dislike the idea of limited items), but this summer Essence did an excellent job. The sailor inspired nail stickers are super cute and will surely pair them up with a navy blue nail polish. Similar designs here.

ESSENCE Nauti Girl Cosmetic Bag
01 Anchors Aweigh
My cousin got this for me, so thank you. It a nice medium size bag with a zipper that is very basic, but I'll surely replace my mint green one with this one in these summer months. Such a cute design, right?

LANCOME O d´Azur edt
Sample
I am a very shallow person, I'm sure you've noticed by now, so I actually got this sample purely because I love the bottle of the full size parfume. Yeah, so you've learned something about my priorities, but I just love perfume bottles as decoration (this was the main reason I got Katy Perry's Royal Revolution). Anyway it's a nice summery fragrance that smells high-end and I like it, but I'm not completely I-must-have-it-right-now in love with it. It's fresh, floral, aquatic and a bit sharp from the pepper. This a scent I image someone wearing in the office, but the staying power is weak.

LOLITA LEMPICKA Elle L'aime edp
Sample
This has been on my radar for quite a while because I loved the notes according to Fragrantica, then I forgot about it, later Živa wrote about it and rekindled my interest. I couldn't find it in our drugstores (not surprised), but they do have it on Salma and they have samples (yay!). Živa was spot on with her description, it is reminiscent of the über popular Bronze Goddess, but with a slight citrus twist. It's beachy, coconuty with neroli and jasmine plus some lime that keeps it from being too cloying. I'm a huge, huge fan, however, staying power is very weak.

RIHANNA Nude edp
Sample
I tried this in Müller once and I liked it, but I wanted a proper sample before deciding if it's the scent for me. It's tropical and sweet, but not in an Escada way, instead it's a deeper scent. I can definitely smell guava, which I normally don't like in fragrances, but I guess that combination with a pear note makes is more likeable to me. I swear I can smell vanilla in it, but there is none, so I guess the combination of other notes makes it so sweet and gourmand like. I'm not sold by it or maybe it just doesn't appeal to me in this heat as it's not exactly light. It's lovely, but I won't be buying a full size, I think.

DOLCE & GABBANA The One Desire edp
Sample
I got this as a gift with purchase on Salma. I'm not impressed by the original The One and this one isn't my favourite either. It's sweet with predominant notes of caramel and vanilla, but that lychee note from the start is so odd, almost like it's too sour or even rotten. It later disappears, but I don't like how this is working with my chemistry. In general it's a very generic and forgettable scent to me.
Notes on Fragrantica.

*PA DOLLY LOVE False Eyelashes HS-37
Born Pretty Store offered me to try some more of their false lashes after I posted a review of their Pa Dolly Love HS-43. HS-37 are much, much more dramatic as they are not only longer, but also thicker. I chose these because they have more of a rounded design, instead of tapered and I've never tried lashes like that, so I want to see what effect these have on my eyes. These again come in a box of ten and are on clear a string.

Spring Beauty

BASE
Spring is time for lighter bases and this one definitely fits the bill. It has a light to medium coverage, in fact in that respect it's very similar to Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum, however, the finish is more satin-matte than dewy which will appeal to those whose skin gets a bit shiny during the day. This is my ultimate product for when I'm in a hurry as it takes seconds to apply and blend in with fingers.

Out of all my foundations, BBs and CC creams this has the best finish ever. Again it's similar to Healthy Mix Serum in terms of coverage, but with a more satin finish. This literally looks like skin. It just melts in invisibly and it doesn't settle into lines or pores. To me this is the perfect base, but the lightest shade is too dark for a Snow White like me, so I really wish Bourjois made another lighter shade of this.

BOURJOIS Healthy Mix Serum
This has been my favourite foundation since its release. It looks incredibly natural and fresh on the skin due to the dewy finish and it's particularly nice for dehydrated skin with dry patches because it's one of the rare foundations that doesn't look odd on such skins. This is a staple in my collection.

 EYES
I love a neutral, defined look in any season, but I think that such a look fits into spring especially well. This is the palette that started my matte neutral-taupe eye look obsession and it made me fall in love with eyeshadows. The shades in it are perfect for an everyday defined eye, but the colours can also be worn in a smokier combination. The quality is fantastic and these are some of the best matte eyeshadows around.

Basics 2 offers a bit more variety when it comes to medium toned shades and it also contains more cool toned shades. If you find the first version too light for your skin tone, this should work at lot better. The quality is again superb as at the original, so another pack of nicely pigmented and smooth eyeshadows.

I've raved a lot about this budget friendly palette and I still love it. It's like someone put both Naked Basics palettes together and took only the good shades in it. The quality is really good for the price and all the colours are actually matte.

CHEEKS
BENEFIT Coralista
Coral is the obvious choice for spring cheeks and Coralista is my favourite because it's gorgeous coral shade with an illuminating shimmer/glow. This is the type of shade that makes you look so fresh.

The most classic warm pink shade that brightens the face by giving a cute flush to the cheeks, but without any shimmer. The quality of these blushes in amazing, especially considering the price.

This is one of those great super perky peaches for pale skins. I prefer this to pink blushes when I want to look healthily flushed, plus the velvet cream texture looks very natural on the skin.

Pop of Pink is a bright warm pink-coral and can be used quite sheer or build up for intensity. The liquid-mousse texture gives the cheeks that lovely natural "of course I'm not faking that flush" finish, especially when paired with a light base.

LIPS

Nude-ist is a beautiful muted rose shade on me with a nice matte finish and it's one of those fantastic natural shades that give me a bit of colour and definition to lips.

These are such a fancy replacement for a lip balm due to their comfortable, creamy formula and the divine peachy scent. Rose Melody is a natural-pink my-lip-but-better-shade with a nice glossy finish that is great for any easy everyday look.

This is one of my never-fails default lip colours for most occasions because it manages to brighten up my pale skin tone, but isn't too flashy or too in your face. It's a medium pink-coral or peachy-pink and I really appreciate that there is more pink in it because corals mostly look unflattering orange on me.

The brightest choice in my selection, Sweet Tart is a bright, warm Barbie pink that is very pigmented, which is a pleasant surprise for such a balmy product.

Cotton Candy is a warm pink that is similar to MAC's Please Me, so it's a great everyday colour, when you want something neutral, but not completely nude (on condition you have a pale skin tone). The formula is really creamy and yet it manages to cling on longer that for example Essence's pencils, so it's a nice replacement for a lipstick.

This is currently my favourite lip colour as it's one of the nicest light peachy-pinks ever. It's a good pencil that is somewhere between being creamy and hard, so it defines well, but the formula is a drier one, however, the colour makes it all worth it.

NAILS

The rather dully named nail colour, 01 is a a nude with a rose-violet-taupe tone, which is close to my skin tone, but those cool hues keep it from looking like mannequin fingers. The formula is so smooth and surprising easy to apply for an opaque nude nail polish, but what impressed me more is how shiny is the finish.

This is that one fantastic transition shade that can easily be worn from autumn though winter into spring because it's such a nice mix of styles. It's a mix of autumn-winter taupe and spring pastel lilac shades, so it looks very modern on the nails.

ESSIE Nail Lacquer
Mint Candy Apple
The quintessential mint green nail polish that is closer to pastel blue than green. The formula makes you work for it, but there are plenty of better performing dupes anyway and you can't really have a spring without such a shade at least once on the nails.

I got this hoping it be the perfect nude nail polish, but it turned out to be so much more. It's a pastel light pink-peach shade, so it's somewhat nude but with a cute twist.

The name completely fits this brightened coral-pink shade as it really is cute. The formula of this shade is unbeatable because the application is so smooth and even.

The greener and a bit more muted sibling of Mint Candy Apple, but with a much better performing formula.

FRAGRANCE
Katy Perry Royal Revolution
A sweet, yet fresh scent which still has that depth that also makes it a nice choice for a night out. It reminds me of a very nice smelling shampoo and I love such scents in the spring.

LA RIVE Moon
This is one of those clean, but classy scents that work no matter the occasion or season. It's basically a cheap knock-off of Hugo Boss Nuit Pour Femme and works just as well. It starts with a nice peachy burst, but it quickly settles into a nice expensive fabric softener scent.

The heaviest fragrance out of the three, but still lighter than all those vanilla-cupcake based scents like Fantasy. Fame is a lovely blend of apricot, honey and flower notes, while the depth is created by the smokiness of the incense note.

Have a great day!

New In #27 and a Surprise Giveaway

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation
Siberia
If you've seen my birthday wishlist post, you know that this was one of the things I really wanted to have. My awesome cousins surprised me with this for my birthday as well as some other über generous bits. Aren't they the best people ever? I've already done a review of this here based on a very generous sample that my follower Tamara sent. Basically what's most important to me is that the shade is super light as I am approximately the shade of a freshly painted white wall, though this is a very yellow foundation and my skin is neutral. The coverage is medium-full and this blends so well on the skin, leaving behind that similar luminous matte or maybe rather luminous satin effect that Catrice's Nude Illusion does, but it never sits ugly in my pores, which I greatly appreciate.

I already shared this on Instagram and Pinterest, but here is it for those who haven't seen it yet. Thanks to Tamara again, we came to a discovery that Bourjois Heathy Mix Serum's pump works just fine with Sheer Glow (oh, did I mention that a 40 € foundation comes without a pump? Only one of the most irritating things ever, but they do sell the pump separately for 4 € - their generosity is unsurpassable). Sheer Glow's neck is taller, but the circumference is the same, so it twists on tightly. The straw needs to be shortened and that's it. Plus the Bourjois' cap fits as well. I hope this helps to any of you hasn't got a pump on Sheer Glow/Matte.

L'OREAL L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick
101 Rose Melody
I'm a huge fan of these despite the hefty price tag for a drugstore gloss. I already have Rose Symphony, which is my favourite lip gloss ever and I wear it a lot. Considering I'm definitely not a lip gloss girl, this means something. The texture of these is amazing, it's so creamy and not at all sticky. They also smells divine, like peaches, which only like my favourite scent ever. Rose Melody is a natural nude shade with pink tones in it (a more beige version of this shade is Nude Vibrato) and it's semi-opaque.
About 14 € in our drugstores, but cheaper in Boots International at about 9 GBP (12 €).

ESSENCE I <3 Trends Nail Polish
The Nudes: 02 I Nude it
I've seen this on Taya's blog and liked it straight away, then my cousins surprised me with it because I had no idea this collection reached our little town (I swear I looked every day that week, but arrived at an empty stand yesterday). It's an opaque cream nude shade with what appears to be tiny duo chrome gold-green shimmer, but I can't really see it when it's on the nails. It's a lot lighter than my skin tone, but I'd still classify it as a nude. The formula is opaque with two coats, it could be just one if you apply thick coats, but the first one is usually streaky and needs fixing.

DOVE Purely Pampering Nourishing Body Oil with Shea Butter and Warm Vanilla
a.k.a. DOVE Verwöhnendes Körperöl mit Shea Butter und Vanilleduft
The last part of the gift I got for my birthday. I've heard a lot of good things about Dove oils, for one Kate (Gh0stparties) raves extensively about these. This version has very fine gold shimmer in it, so it gives that illusion of Victoria's Secret glowy legs, especially if you're tan. The texture of this oil surprised me a lot. It's actually not runny and super thin, instead it's so thick that the "blob" keeps shape on the skin, but it's not a heavy oil at all and most of it sinks in quite fast. Still I wouldn't be so confident to get dressed right away as it does leave a light, greasy layer on top. It think it's wonderful for basically any skin type and for any season, but it will look especially good on summer tanned kin. The scent of this is nice as well, it's a warm vanilla-cosmetic scent and not overly heavy. Oh, and I also tried using this as an illuminating base for makeup under a mix of Sheer Glow and Lasting Finish Nude - it looked sooo good, but my skin is dry/dehydrated at the moment.
Müller, 7.99 € (150 ml)

I've already mentioned this in my recent monthly favourites, I actually bought this for my birthday because I wanted to use my absolute favourite things and this is definitely one of those products. I just wholeheartedly adore this mascara because it actually keeps my lashes curled all day. It also lengthens the lashes significantly giving me that super lashy look. It's an amazing mascara and I hope they never change it.

ESSENCE  Eyeliner Pen Waterproof
01 Deep Black
Ou-em-gee Essence you can't use a smudgy formula for a waterproof liquid eyeliner. Okay? Otherwise, good job. Since I had no usable liner after the L'Oreal disaster (I still hate you. A lot.), I set upon finding any semi decent liner to do the job until I repurchase one of my favourites and I've discovered we actually have quite a few of them in our drugstores, but all with weird nibs, except surprisingly the Essence one. The formula is super black and nicely fluid making it easy to do a crisp, even line. The nib is about the size of L'Oreal's Super Slim, however, the design needs some improving to allow for super thin lines. It lasts a long time on my normal lids, but it smudges at only a sight of water and contact with fingers (you should have seen me once after I rubbed my eyes. I almost died laughing. Thankfully I was at home because I had to take of all my makeup). Overall I'm happy with it for the price, but it's not as good as more some expensive ones (though definitely a billion times better than L'Oreal's So Couture). I'll see how long it'll take for it to dry out.

Montagne Jeunesse Sheet Mask with Tea Tree Oil
a.k.a.Tuchmaske mit teebaumöl
I got this after seeing it in Sanja's Empties. I've never tried a sheet mask before, so it was my first time looking like a deranged killer with a chainsaw. First thing that hit me was the strong hospital smell and I mean it genuinely smells like sitting in a ward waiting for a doctor's appointment. It's not a bad smell at all, but for me powerful memory inducing. The second little snag is that the sheet mask is too big for my baby face meaning it had to be folded and creased on some parts, but I still managed to make it work somehow. The sheet is super saturated with product, but it doesn't drip, so that's well executed on Montagne's part. As Sanja said there may be a bit of tingling, however, I must say that I haven't felt much of it apart from the cold wet cloth touching my  face. I left it on for 10 minutes as per instructions and once I removed it, I rinsed the remains off my face. As far as instant result go, I can't report a miracle transformation. Perhaps my skin looked a bit brighter, but I think that's it. Also, I thought I'd just use the mask and be done with skincare for the day, but after 5 minutes my skin started to feel a bit too tight for my liking and I had to use Nuxe's oil.

IT'S A 10 Miracle Leave-in Product
This is super popular and highly-rated across the pond, so I really wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Much like the here more familiar Uniq one, it promises to do everything apart from iron your shirts (if only…) and I must admit I'm always very apprehensive about such products. The texture is quite unexpected. As you can see it's in spray form, so I presumed it's a liquid product, but it is in fact sort of a lotion/almost-mousse texture. I was most looking forward to the promise of reducing frizz, but I'm not too sure about it doing anything to the general look of my hair, however, my hair does feel silkier than without it, plus it's a nice light heat protectant. So far I like it.
eBay, 13.33 € (without shipping)

A repurchase, since I find my hair is a bit too damaged at the moment for my liking. I've used this for about a year before and it worked so absolutely brilliantly long term. It's a light lotion that doesn't weigh down the hair and I use it after washing when it's still damp. It contains protein that strengthen the hair, therefore helps prevent damage. This is especially good if you want your hair to grow long.

TIGI Bed Head Small Talk
Travel size
I've been considering trying this for at least a half a decade and I quite happy they finally started selling a travel size, though even this little bulb contains 125 ml of products. I used to use Tigi's Curls Rock Amplifier religiously (still the best natural curls definer I've tried) and this is like a sister product, but designed for volume. It promises to add volume, give life to limp hair as well as define, separate and control. It's a light cream, so similar to leave-in conditioners and in typical Tigi fashion, it smells strongly of blueberry candy. To be honest, in that one use I've done on damp hair, I haven't noticed much effect. Volume levels were the same as without and it didn't help control the hair much. I do, however, like this on dry hair. It smoothes and defines the strands and also masks the dryness, but without being heavy on the hair. I'll keep using it and report after a while.

A repurchase, I don't know which one in a row, but I don't recall being without this in the past few years. It's one of those treatments that just does its job brilliantly and I'm super picky when it comes to hair care products.

TIGI Bed Head Urban Anti-dotes Conditioner
Sample size 50 ml
It's been a while since I tried a Tigi conditioner, but this one is the lightest in terms of texture I've tried. It's still thicker than an average cheap conditioner, but unlike Joico Hydrator, which is similarly light, this didn't wow me, though it is good. I still think a lot of people with moderately dry hair that isn't coarse would like it, it's just my hair that as usual needs more. The scent is super fruity, like children's multivitamin drinks, so to me quite pleasant.

Best mask in the world ever! Well, at least when it comes to my hair, of course. I expect a lot from hair treatments and conditioners, since my hair is so stubborn and this mask performs brilliantly. I'm always amazed at the results. I once said that this makes my hair "normal people's" hair, which is all I ever wanted - just average hair, nothing more. My hair feels a lot less coarse, actually it makes it feel silky and even a bit soft, which is a mini miracle when it comes to my hair.

But I feel like I have to emphasize something because I get so many of questions - if you have non-problematic or fine hair with only slightly dry ends, you obviously don't need such an expensive treatment. There are plenty in the drugstore. If you have hair like mine that is prone to drying out very fast, you'll notice a huge gap in the quality between salon brands and drugstore, otherwise I doubt it.

*KÉRASTASE Nutritive Bain Satin 1
Since I write a lot about Kérastase and people that handle this brand in Slovenia noticed that, they sent me a thanks in the form of this shampoo and Forme Fatale (great people, right), the latter I chose to give away to one of my Slovene readers (sorry to international readers, shipping cost are high here). It's no secret Oleo-Relax shampoo is my favourite, but when I was deciding which products to get when I was first researching the brand, Bain Satin 1 was a strong contender to try out. I'm a huge fan of the Nutritive line and I'm really looking forward to trying this shampoo. This one is designed for normal to slightly dry hair,

GLISS Oil Nutritive Shampoo
An average shampoo. It's nice for the price, but definitely not as brilliant as L'Oreal's Elvive, which is about the same price. It smells fruity (I think tropical/mango, but not in a classic way), foams a lot, cleans well and that's it. It's not particularly moisturising and neither drying, actually it's very similar in effect to Aussie's Miracle Moist shampoo and just as that one it leaves the hair tangled and hard to comb through. A good enough shampoo for most hair types.

GLISS Ultimate Repair Shampoo
I think this one is better than Oil Nutritive, though both perform similar enough. It left my hair less stripped, but all the other qualities are the same. The scent of this is similar to laundry detergent.

BRITNEY SPEARS Fantasy the Naughty Remix
100 ml
I already mentioned all three fragrances I got in my Birthday post and I said that this version of Fantasy is very similar to the original, only fruitier. I think that most people won't notice the difference between the two, though this one is admittedly a bit lighter. It's another fruity-gourmand scent with juicy kiwi notes and sweet puffs of vanilla. Notes on Fragrantica.

AQUALINA Pink Sugar
50 ml
This is growing on me more and more. I got a sample of this about a year ago and it left me very underwhelmed, but now I love with each spray more. My cousin says it smells like burnt sugar and I will admit that the first burst of cotton candy sugariness is like a punch in the face that some people won't be able to tolerate, but to me the tamer underlying vanilla note prevents it from being too over the top. It's a very popular fragrance for a reason and it is the sweetest fragrance I own. Notes on Fragrantica.

KATY PERRY Royal Revolution
30 ml
Out of the three, this is the most office appropriate and least in your face. It's sweet, yet fresh, but still has that depth that also makes it a nice choice for a night out. It reminds me of a very nice smelling shampoo and I like such scents because I don't always want to smell like a bakery. The bottle is sheer perfection and I've seen a few days ago there'll be a spring inspired pink version as well. Notes on Fragrantica.

AVON Advanced Techniques Moroccan Argan Oil
Petra from Adjusting Beauty made my jaw drop when she sent me a gift for my birthday (thank you again!) and this oil, which is she loves, was in it (her review here). In contrast to other cheaper oils I've tried, the texture of this in much thicker, but not as thick as Orofluido's or Macadamia Natural Oil's one, yet thicker than Kérastase Ultimate Oil. I've been using it a lot recently and I quite like it. It doesn't tame the hair as well as Orofluido when I use it on damp hair, but it's a nice quick fixer when my hair feels too dry or unruly (I really like it for my dry ends). It smells nice as well. It's like a mix of their "regular" green serum, which smells a bit like apples, but in a hair salon way, and some deep oriental note. For the price it's lovely and I like that it comes with a pump.

AVON Ultra Color Indulgence lipsticks
Red Tulip, Plum Verbena, Chocolate Rose
Samples
Petra also included these cute mini samples of the newly launched lipsticks (I LOVE samples). These are one of those moisturising lipsticks that usually have sheerer pigmentation and a very glossy finish. While these have more of a shiny finish, the pigmentation is quite impressive though it needs perhaps an extra layer for full opacity. These smell very summery like watermelons (the old Maybelline lipsticks had a similar scent).
Red Tulip is a classic red with an impressive pigmentation and Petra did wonderful swatches here.
Plum Verbena is a cool plum shade and I'm particularly happy to get this colour because recently I can't get this lip colour out of my mind and this is the closest thing I have at the moment. It's Chanel's Rouge Allure in 108 Determineé and I can't find it in my local Müller, so I can't at least test it and see if such a shade would suit me and I might find a cheaper dupe for it (if you know this shade and are aware of similar colours, please let me know. I will be forever grateful). A mix of Plum Verbena with Chocolate Rose looks similar if I wear it dabbed onto the lips, but it is cooler and lacks that rose tone.
Chocolate Rose is brown with red-plumy tones. I'm not a fan of this shade on me because it is straight up dark brown, but it looks great on Petra, who swatched it here (she swatched even more shades here).

E.L.F. HD Powder
Sample
Petra found on my Pinterest Wishlist board that I'm interested in trying this (you've got to admit that's dedication) and made me a sample. It's a silica based powder that is highly rated on Makeup Alley, with people claiming there are definite similarities with the more expensive MUFE HD powder and that this creates a "soft focus" effect, blurs the pores and imperfections. Petra informed me that she dislikes this powder as she finds it's not fine enough, so I wasn't expecting much, but surprisingly I like it, I like it a lot. I applied it over my "worst" foundation, Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude which settles into pores, lines and just looks weird on the skin, and this powder fixed it. All of it. It got rid of that fake foundation finish, hid those craters of pores that foundation sunk into and set the makeup in place without the powdery finish. Now, I wouldn't be so rash to say it's better than my Bourjois Java powder, mainly because doesn't have that illuminating pink tint, but they are very similar.

L'OREAL True Match foundation
N1
Sample
Petra also made me a sample of True Match that I've been dying to try out for ages, well at least this shade in particular. I'll start of by saying that I really like the texture of this. It's so light and super blendable, yet it covers well (medium) as well as it's buildable. It really is as good as they say. However N1 unfortunately looks orange on me. It's as light as Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum 51, but the orange tone in it appears to be amplified on my skin. Thankfully I got a sample before I bought the full size, otherwise it'd be a huge miss buy. Does anyone know if W1 is lighter?

IT'S A 10 Miracle Hair Mask
Sample
My 10 ml sample was way too small for my hair, so I can't really say much about it. It was a classic hair mask with a hair salon scent. I'm not sure whether it was due to not using enough or just the mask in general, but my hair didn't feel silky when I was rinsing it off and it didn't comb as easy as usually, but you have to keep in mind that I use heaps of conditioner/mask on my bellow mid back hair. Otherwise my hair felt quite nice when it was dry, but it could be because I used the corresponding leave-in treatment.

PHYTO Phytosquam Intense
Sample
A new dandruff treatment by Phyto that is quite unique as far as my experiences with anti-dandruff products go. I've tried all of Phyto treatments before and so far they were the best ones, however, didn't completely help me get rid of the problem, just alleviated it. This product is one that you apply on dry scalp, leave for 5-7 minutes, then add water to emulsify it and rinse off. Regular Phyto's shampoos are very runny, but this is closer to how average shampoos are like in terms of texture. It's a thick gel that I had a hard time distributing evenly on my hair, simply because I was working with a sample bag, but also because I have very thick, long hair, so it's not easy getting product on the scalp. I think the full size has a nozzle, so that should work a lot better. One bag had a lot of product inside, 12 ml, but I used up all and I still could have a few ml more to completely cover my scalp. When it was on my scalp, I didn't feel anything, so no tingling or anything similar. Once I added water it emulsified well, like a normal shampoo, which is surprising since Phyto's shampoos, don't foam well. Once I rinsed it off, my hair felt super squeaky clean, which is not something I'm terribly fond off, but that's just because I have dry hair. Where I managed to get a thick coat of the treatment, it did remove most of the dandruff that is stuck on my scalp (about 85 %), while where I only had a light coat, a lot of the dandruff was still left, which leads me to believe this is a product that would be empty very fast. But results are promising. It removed the persistent layer of dandruff and let my scalp breathe a bit. The itching was still a problem, but for the first day there was significantly less of it. I would buy this.

CAUDALIE Huile Divine
Sample
I'm a huge fan of Nuxe Huile Prodigeuse, which is a cult product in the beauty community for over 20 years. Caudalie released a similar product a few years back, and I've always wondered how it performs. I use Nuxe on my face, so I tested Caudalie's as a face moisturiser as well, but my skin didn't like it as much as Nuxe's. It's ok, but my skin didn't look as good as with my old favourite. The texture is very similar, so a light, dry oil that sinks in quite fast. The scent is more "green" or floral and a bit fresher, however, both are lovely and summery.

KÉRASTASE Forme Fatale GIVEAWAY
SLOVENE ONLY

Have a great day!
